Projects implemented via MP Ravindra Waikar’s Local Area Development Fund; 200 needy students provided with free bicycles

A series of innovative development and beautification projects implemented in the Jogeshwari Assembly constituency through the MP Local Area Development (MPLAD) fund of Mumbai North West Lok Sabha MP Ravindra Waikar were inaugurated today in an enthusiastic atmosphere. The grand inauguration was graced by the Shiv Sena Chief Whip in the Lok Sabha and MP Dr. Shrikant Eknath Shinde. These multi-faceted public welfare works have significantly enhanced the urban landscape and civic infrastructure of Jogeshwari.





Focusing heavily on essential public amenities, environmental conservation, and educational support for students, several landmark projects were dedicated to the citizens during the ceremony. Key highlights of the inaugurated works include:


Advanced Restroom and Service Center: Built near the Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Trauma Care Municipal Hospital to provide modern sanitation and convenience facilities for patients' relatives and local residents.
Cultural Wall Murals: Vibrant artwork depicting the great traditions of Maharashtra's saints has been installed to beautify the surroundings while celebrating the state's rich cultural heritage.
Solar Power Generation Project: Inspired by the ' Surya Ghar' initiative, this renewable energy project was set up near the Shyam Nagar Lake and Ichhapurti Ganesh Temple premises to promote sustainable energy and reduce electricity consumption.
Metro-Shaped Library: An innovative children's and public library structured in the unique shape of a metro coach, located near the MMRDA Colony in Durga Nagar.
Distribution of Free Bicycles: Upholding social responsibility, 200 deserving and needy students from 8th to 12th standards were distributed free bicycles to make their daily commute to school smooth and hassle-free.
New Water Kiosk (Panpoi): A newly installed drinking water kiosk near the Shaheed Vijay Salaskar Garden to serve clean drinking water to commuters and locals.

Speaking at the event, MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde lauded the working style of MP Ravindra Waikar. "Ravindra Waikar is a leader who remains directly connected to the pulse of the people. He has utilized the MP fund meticulously to ensure comprehensive and inclusive development," Dr. Shinde stated.


The inauguration ceremony witnessed the gracious presence of Deputy Leaders Dilip Shinde, Rachana Sawant, Rajul Patel, Divisional Head Dnyaneshwar Sawant, Priyanka Ambolkar, Raju Pednekar, Swapnil Tembavalkar, Altaf Pevekar, Vishnu Sawant, Atmaram Chache, Manisha Waikar, Rekha Ramvanshi, Deepti Waikar-Potnis, Prajakta Waikar-Mahale, and Pooja Shinde, alongside a large gathering of Shiv Sena office bearers, branch heads, enthusiastic citizens, and students.
